LIHEAP Eligibility Tool

Questions to determine if you are eligible for help paying energy bills.

Low Income Housing Emergency Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Provides fuel assistance to eligible households.

Energy Crisis Intervention Program (ECIP)

Provides fuel assistance, utility emergencies and eviction notices to already eligible LIHEAP households.

Winterization

This program benefits LIHEAP households and is limited to 5 households per year.

Emergency Assistance

This program was developed to help Mi'kmaq Nation members with unmet need for shelter, fuel, utilities, food and clothing.

Elder Emergency Assistance

This program component provides E.A. for eligible Micmac Elders.

School Clothing Allowance

This program component provides assistance to eligible families with children in the Aroostook County school system or home school programs.

Elder Clothing Allowance

Winter clothing for eligible Micmac members.

Burial Assistance

For Aroostook Band of Micmac members in the Service Area of Aroostook County.

Disaster Assistance

A loss of dwelling and/or other property through natural disaster of: fire, flood, hurricane, tornado or other acts of nature beyond control.

Title IV Program

This is a food and nutrition program offered to Aroostook Band of Micmac Elders.

Hunger Prevention Program funded by USDA

This program is offered to the Public. In order to qualify you must fill out an application and meet the income eligibility requirements.

***Please note that you must be a member of the Mi'kmaq Nation in order to qualify for these programs.
The only exception to this is the Hunger Prevention Program which is offered to the Public
